8 WEEKS LONG | STARTING WEEK OF JUNE 14TH

Light & Life family, isn’t it powerful to gather with others for meaningful conversation around God’s Word and what it means to follow Jesus?

That’s one of our church’s core priorities: creating spaces where people are actively being shaped by Scripture and formed into the likeness of Christ.

One way we do that is through our Summer Book Clubs. We are intentional in choosing books that are biblically grounded, spiritually formative, and deeply practical for everyday life.

This summer, we are expectant for what God will do as we read and discuss The Radical Disciple by John Stott. This short but powerful book offers a compelling invitation to follow Jesus with depth, courage, and clarity in today’s world.

How can this Summer Book Club help me grow?
  • Grow as a distinct, Christ-centered disciple
  • Greater intentionality in your faith and daily rhythms
  • Meaningful, honest conversations in a smaller community setting
  • Practical steps toward spiritual growth and obedience

If growing as a disciple is a desire of yours, sign up for a Book Club! It's one of the best things you can do this Summer.
That said, we also need leaders and apprentices.

If you’ve ever thought about leading a group but weren’t sure where to start, this is a perfect on-ramp.
You can:
  • Lead a Book Club — create space for others, guide discussion, and help cultivate community
  • Apprentice under a leader — learn by doing, grow in confidence, and take a step toward leading in the future

You don’t have to have all the answers. You simply need to be willing to show up, create space, and walk with others.
Whether you’re ready to lead or just curious about taking a next step, Summer Book Clubs are a simple and meaningful way to invest in community and grow as a disciple.
