Did you ever feel like someone accidently slipped a copy of Shakespeare’s sonnets inside of your bible cover?   

Have you ever had to read the same paragraph over and over?

Contrary, to what some may believe the bible was not designed to confuse people.  In fact the bible was hand-woven by God with words to heal, guide, and restore people over the test of time.  The history of God’s people and the stories of his son Jesus Christ are all captured in the bible.  Looking for epic stories of creation, war, slavery, life, death, murder, adultery, love, disasters, healings, miracles and salvation?  The Holy Bible is a one-stop shop for all of life’s lessons.

Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California is a well-known and regarded pastor within Christian ministry communities.  Warren, a doctor of theology, has shared his own early struggles with biblical studies.  However, over time and through prayer Warren developed a vast affinity for the bible.  Warren would go on to write “Rick Warren’s Bible Study Methods: 12 Ways to You Can Unlock God’s Word”.  

40 Days in the Word is a 6-week teaching on the devotional method of bible study.  Devotional bible study teaches us how to read the bible prayerfully and meditate on the passages until the Holy Spirit shows us how to apply God’s truth to our lives.
