Let the RIVER CHURCH flow!

 The "RIVER Church" metaphor is a guiding image that directs ministry at Light & Life. The image springs from two primary passages of scripture - Ezekiel 47 and John 7:37,38.

The RIVER Church is a church dedicated to flowing out from the house of God into the streets of the city and bringing life and healing wherever it flows. It is committed to giving away leaders, workers, money, and resources to start new works in other places.

Light & Life North has made a conscious decision to remain in our neighborhood, in limited facilities, and FLOW outward to as many places as possible.

A "LAKE Church" seeks to gather as many people as possible in one place around one leader. A "RIVER Church" is interested in giving away to multiply ministry in diverse locations. It's not about Christian celebrities but about gifted Christians being empowered to lead in their own unique ways.

The RIVER Church at Light & Life means 1) Starting new churches 2) Starting new ministries outside of LLCF 3) Giving away leaders to other ministries 4) Being Kingdom minded in working with other churches without concern who gets the credit 5) Helping the underprivileged in our neighborhood.

Being a RIVER church is a way that we live out our VALUE to be a MISSIONAL CHURCH.
