Please pray the Community Center will be opened during 2009
In October 2006 God allowed us to supernaturally raise 120,000 in one month to purchase a 5000 square foot building adjacent to our church property. We believed God was guiding us to use this building to bless the underprivileged in our community. Our passion with this building is to provide programs and services that break the cycle of poverty and empower people in wholistic ways. We see it providing some acts of mercy...what we call "giving a man a fish", but more importantly we see it has providing space to do acts of justice...what we call "teaching a man to fish". We have faced an uphill battle seeking to get the appropriate zoning to allow us to open the center to serve the poor. Progress is being made but each step takes time and money. Please pray that the center will be opened during 2008. Meanwhile different programs have been offered to help the underprivileged. Our commitment is to reach out effectively to those who are considered the last and the least and to help them feel God's great love and their great value to God.
